TEMPLE, TEXAS (January 2, 2019) – The Temple Economic Development Corporation (Temple EDC) is pleased to announce Bridget Hinze Weber as its new communications and marketing director.
Bridget has more than 10 years of experience in communications and community development designing strategic communication plans, long-range urban planning, and community engagement for public and nonprofit agencies. Bridget is returning to Temple EDC after spending the past five years in San Antonio as special projects manager for the San Antonio River Authority. In San Antonio, Bridget managed high-profile, large-scale development projects in downtown and west San Antonio that incorporated economic development, environmental, and quality of life features.
“With Bridget’s extensive background in communications and community development, she’ll be a significant asset to the Temple EDC team,” said Adrian Cannady, Temple EDC President & CEO. “We’re excited to have her lead our marketing communications efforts and the engagement of our existing industries in Temple.”
As the communications and marketing director, Bridget will develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans, conduct outreach to existing companies, plan programming to engage local companies and workforce, and work closely with community partners and leaders.
Bridget earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Baylor University and a master’s degree in public administration from Texas State University.
