TEMPLE, Texas— The Temple Economic Development Corporation (Temple EDC) today announced that R+L Carriers, Inc., will expand by adding its 113th location in the U.S. and the 11th in Texas on a 14.8-acre tract of land in the Temple Industrial Park located on Lucius McCelvey Dr. in northwest Temple.
The new $5 million dollar freight terminal will include a 70 door terminal, office space, a fueling station and employ 30 new jobs with an average salary of $40,000 plus benefits. Construction on the project is expected to begin immediately and be complete late spring 2017.
An economic development agreement based on the capital investment of the project was approved by the Temple EDC Board of Directors on October 18 that includes a land grant.
