McLane Intelligent Solutions Acquires AngiTEK IT Managed Services Business Unit

Temple, Texas (January 4, 2013) McLane Intelligent Solutions (MIS), an information technology company located in Temple, Texas, is pleased to announce the acquisition of AgniTEK’s IT Managed Services business unit. AgniTEK is a technology resource company headquartered in Bryan/College Station, Texas. The acquisition represents a significant growth for both companies in 2013.

“We are excited about the expansion of MIS,” said McLane Intelligent Solutions President Skip Carruth. “Obtaining AgniTEK’s managed IT support services will launch MIS into a larger geographical market, creating synergies to meet the ever-increasing needs of our customers.”

MIS will increase its business leverage and services by implementing AgniTEK’s best practices into its own operations. MIS will in return add instant growth, skills, and stability to the structure of AgniTEK.

“Both MIS and AgniTEK will be enhanced through leadership expertise and customer growth,” Carruth said. “Bryan/College Station, Texas is one of the top growth opportunity areas in the U.S. over the next 10 years and we are eager to expand into this region.”

The acquisition of AgniTEK enriches MIS with more knowledgeable leaders in the IT industry.”

“AgniTEK has empowered our clients’ information technology with our focus on personalized service and industry best practices. Our expansion with McLane will join our two Texas companies with strong client centric values,” said Antonio Ortiz, now Director – B/CS for McLane Intelligent Solutions. “We are delighted to keep our team together and offer the best services and solutions in the industry.”

“It’s an exciting day for everyone involved. As our industry has matured, there has been a lot of consolidation,” said David Ohendalski, the former President of AgniTEK, LLC and now President of the new web services group. “This brings new opportunities for us to hone our focus. Our staff will have additional opportunities to grow internally. Plus our current and future clients will now have an even deeper support bench. All current clients will continue to hear and see the same great staff they’ve loved for years.”
