Growth Of Tri-Supply Drives $5 Million Relocation, Expansion Within Temple

TEMPLE, Texas—The Temple Economic Development Corporation (Temple EDC) today announced that Tri-Supply Home Products for builders and homeowners will relocate within Temple to a larger, 120,000-square-foot building at the Temple EDC’s Industrial Park. Site preparation for construction began in January, and the project is expected to be complete later this year.

The more than $5-million facility will feature a 40,000-square-foot showroom for builders, remodelers and do-it-yourselfers/homeowners to shop and buy home products. The 80,000-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing area on the backside of the building will allow the company to keep supplies stocked and distribute them to their customers and other Tri-Supply locations in Texas.

“At the EDC, we are fortunate to own land that is already zoned for commercial development, which we can use to encourage and support business attraction, retention and expansion,” Temple EDC Vice President Charley Ayres said. “We are proud to call Tri-Supply a longtime successful Temple business and retailer, and this expansion and construction project not only stimulates business and commercial activity in Temple, but will also result in a significant increase in our ad valorem tax base and other direct and indirect revenue for the city.”

This expansion project retains 41 full- and part-time jobs in Temple. The company has also committed to adding at least five more jobs.

“This project is one of the largest single expenses in Tri-Supply’s 56-year history, and we believe Temple is the right location for this investment,” said John Raykovich, owner of Tri-Supply. “We have a very strong sales staff penetrating the building industry. With this new construction, we will bring in the retail side of the business to complement the success we have experienced within the building industry. Tri-Supply’s one-stop shopping and customer-focused, personalized shopping experience puts us ahead of the competition.”

Tri-Supply has been in Temple for 10 years. The company also has locations in Austin, Beaumont, Conroe, Houston and Waco.
